cant deploy!! shows html code instead of page

Hi I've just developed my first web app and decided to test it out on another computer, what I've did was to copy the entire folder from the www\root into the deployment computer www\root folder. when i tried to
execute the webpage 'http://localhost/foldername/file.aspx' it shows me the html codes instead of displaying the page.

what could the reason possibly be?? ive tried deploying it on a winxp system with iis and .net framework 1.1 installed but it doesnt work.

Especially "one may have go to the application directory properties from site tree and actually enable the application, optionally naming it (application name - create)"
