Passing Data to Microsoft Office

Not sure whether this is in the correct forum, but I looking for advice with passing data from a winform to either a microsoft excel or word document. I'll set up standard templates and then I'd like to pass some data from a selected form to the document, I know I need Office Tools for .net and have installed these but was wondering if anyone could recommend websites showing how to do this or have an examples.
