Dorset, United Kingdom – July 2007, Divelements Ltd announces the release of SandRibbon for Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF). Our WPF implementation of the Microsoft Office 2007 Ribbon user interface is lightweight, robust and provides all the features necessary to implement the new user interface paradigm in your own applications.

SandRibbon exposes most of the features of the new user interface through bespoke WPF elements and controls, styled and templated with a choice of color schemes. We fully comply with the Office 2007 UI guidelines, to bring you peace of mind when integrating the product into your own applications. Configuring and using the wealth of features offered is easy and intuitive using XAML.

Feature Spotlight

Dynamic Resizing - With SandRibbon it is easy to specify multiple sizes for each group you define on the ribbon, which automatically applies them when screen space is tight.

ICommand and RoutedCommand Integration - The controls you'll use in SandRibbon fully support being bound to commands with the WPF commanding infrastructure, allowing robust functional applications to be written without writing any binding code.

Popup Resizable Galleries – We have full support for advanced popups and resizable galleries and make it easy to integrate owner-drawn buttons into your host application.

Live Preview – Our API greatly simplifies the task of supplying live preview in your application as your users explore the functionality exposed through the ribbon interface.

Tim Dawson, Technical Director and Owner of Divelements, said: “This product is a breakthrough in the WPF component market. It blows away the competition in terms of flexibility and speed, and our full support for platform features such as styling, templating, mirroring and commanding while offering most features of the Office 2007 user interface makes SandRibbon the best choice for developers using the WPF platform.”
