Hi,

I have been trying to figure out how to get weather information from for example weather.com
Hopefully someone here can give me some pointers on how I can extract the current temperature, humidity, sunset and sunrise for any given location(s) worldwide.
The only example I found was a VB6 program that didn't work, I seem to remember that weather.com changed their format a year ago or so.

By the way, a stand alone program that can write this data to a logfile is also an option for me.

Weather.com and most other weather sites are "money-sites" and very protective about their data, you can verify this by reading their Terms of Use. Your best bet is to use one of their Rss feeds (search a local first) for personal info. Similar to Rss, but on thin ice (ref Terms), is to do 'screen scraping' and html parsing, still for your own personal use.
If this is for a website, weather.com have some nice graphical 'magnet' views you can register for and put on your site.
