Visual Basic or ?

Hi all,

I am new to .net programming and have no real background in programming.

I have been asked to write a booking system for a coach tour company. In this program it will need to ability to store inputted details of customers to a database, either SQL or MS Access (haven't decided on that yet) as well as producing printouts of details and showing on screen reports.

I am thinking about using VB.net for this, will this be the best choice as I am a beginner if not what are the alternatives?

well it's up to you what language and technology you want to use.
As long as you can meet the client requirements.
VB.Net is easy to learn and powerfull (According to my own version) LOL

"Best" is always relative. VB.NET will be able to do all you need it to.

TBH, i'd just do it in Access..

I agree that you should just use Access if you are a beginner. VB.Net is better but Access is easier.
