Question Unresolved problem in creating instance of a HtmlElement object?

I have created a HtmlElementCollection and am using a FOR statement in order to filter the HtmlElements until one is found thats OuterText property contains "Article".

Now, I am getting the error: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object". I understand what this means, but is there any way to create an instance of an object to refer to in the condition "item.OuterText.Contains("Article") = True" ?
I can easily show item.OuterText with the MessageBox.Show (MsgBox) method, so how do I refer to it in this context without inducing a runtime error?

Sorry, the HTML editor for submitting code ruined the formatting and somehow made "Private Sub" into "PrivateSub". Just a FYI.

GetElementsByTagName will not return a Nothing element, but an element.OuterText may return Nothing. Nothing.Contains will throw you a NullReferenceException, while MessageBox.Show(Nothing) will just show you an empty box.

Simply copy the code in VS and paste it in editor (plain text), wrap it with the xcode tag set to option 'vb'. BB Code List - Visual Basic .NET Forums Advanced post editor has nice buttons you can press to insert bb-code tags.

Thanks so much! Ok, so all I need to do is to filter out the null strings, and then I wont be getting a NullReferenceException (therefore having an object instance to refer to!)
