Setup & Deployment installs to root of C:\

Using the Setup and Deployment feature and it works great! On one of my client's machine the application is installed into the root of C:\ (when it default to C:\Program Files\....) and the files can NOT be deleted b/c the machine is locked down.

When I test on another PC in my environment with a user that has low to no priviledges I get an error saying so when I try to install it.

The person installing says he is the local administrator; but, this is odd behviour.

Has anyone run across this side affect, solution?

even if he is the local administrator, there may be a group policy set on the PC, restricting access to c:\ drive folders.

Can you confirm he is a local admin and not just a power user? (go to control panel, users and passwords, and it'll say there the username and what priviledges they have).

Not an Admin

It did turn out that the user was not a local admin; but, odd that the files installed to the root of C:\

My next challenge, prevent the setup from installing if a user is not a local admin.
