Several problems may happen during any interaction with internet resources, though in my experience it is rare. If you had clicked the browser 'back' button I'm fairly certain the content should have remained in the input box as it were, I've done that myself a few times on error. For the same reason I sometimes key Ctrl+A,Ctrl+C to copy the post to clipboard when it is extensive to have a failsafe if some unexpected problem should occur, keep in mind many systems depend upon each other from your keyboard to this forum. Also make sure you check the 'remember me' when you log in, else each new page request would result in you having to log in again. Another related tip, sometimes I by accident delete the post or part of it while typing, Ctrl+Z is then useful to 'undo', it is multi-level too.
