MySQL Server v4.1.12 does not starts

Hello
I have planned to install MySQL v4.1.12 which is recommended and latest now a days. I first remove my current server which was v4.0.20 and now it installs successfully but in the end where we select start as window service. It just says in the end that
Service cannot start Error Code : 0
So can anyone explain , why it is saying like this.

This forum really isn't geared towards this topic, you may want to research over at the MySQL web site. However, as a MySQL user, I believe you probably haven't moved the proper files to the System32 folder yet. See the install directions for MySQL and research what needs to be placed in your Windows directories for MySQL's latest version to run. You may also want to search over at http://www.vbulletin.com and their community forums where there is good info to assist you.

Well Neal, i have been doing that as well, but for time being i thought to write here as well. Well sorry for trouble.
