Making my own custom web control?

How would i go about making my own custom web control, or browser (without the microsoft IE web control or similar?

I guess i would have to parse pages, but then how could i show the page?

It's a completely unrealistic goal I'm afraid. The .NET WebBrowser uses the IE rendering engine, which has had the combined input of who knows how many Microsoft programmers working on it since the very first version of IE all those years ago. It would be a HUGE job to create a browser engine. On my own, it would probably take me several years at least, and I've got a fair bit more experience than you.
