LEAD .NET Developer
Immediate opening for a hands-on Lead .NET Developer responsible for developing .NET applications and mentoring team members in Object-Oriented Design, Architecture, Software Engineering and .Net. This person is responsible for translating business requirements into high quality technical designs, database structures and working applications.
Demonstrated Experience:
· Partnering with project managers and business analysts to create specs and time/cost estimates, then developing deliverables.
· Translating business requirements into working applications/systems based on .NET (web applications in VB.NET).
· Integrating and testing moderate to complex .NET 2.0 web applications.
· Creating standards, policies, and procedures for .NET development environments.
· Designing and documenting .NET technical architecture for applications developed.
· Ensuring that all technical components are usable, reliable, scalable, extensible, interoperable, and reusable.
· Performing appropriate design/code reviews and unit/integration testing, promoting best-practices and methodologies within group.
· Writing T-SQL queries, stored procedures, scripting and troubleshooting.
· Mentoring developers in a fast-paced, deadline-centric environment.
· Developing web services.
· Using Object Oriented Design and UML design approach.
· Understanding of design patterns with respect to n-tier Web applications.
· Utilizing best practices of Systems Development Life Cycle.
· Working independently and managing own time with assigned tasks from design specifications.
Qualifications:
· Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
· 3-6 years in developing VB.NET web applications
· 3 + years in database design
· Comprehensive knowledge of HTML with JavaScript
· Experience with MS SQL Server 2000/2005
· Working knowledge Microsoft Visual Studio .NET
· Knowledge of XML and Web Services development
· Experience working in or developing Service Oriented architectures a plus
· Experience with the DotNetNuke framework ideal
· Experience in C# a plus
· Must be able to work in a team environment
· Strong written and verbal skills
· Strong, positive, customer service attitude
· Self motivated; ability problem solve and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
