how to extract text from images using vb.net

hai, I want to extract text on the images.I am not getting any idea to do it.How to extract text from the images.This technology is called as OCR.(optical character recognition).Please help me.Its very urgent for me.If possible,send me the code.

That is something considered very difficult to do, usually you have to pay for libraries that got this kind of functionality, and they are not uncommonly expensive. Of course there exist basic examples with source code, just search the web. One option is to use part of MS Office, which at least by version 2003 (11) got automation methods for this, see:
