Game Programming using VB.NET

Dear friends i`m going to develop a POKER game using VB.NET, but i don`t gave any idea about game programming using VB.NET, please suggest me some books for that , and also some helpful information and website links. It`s very urgent. Please help

Are u talking about the poker game like the one seen on the poker machines in the casino (say you win the poker and are being able to risk and double bet guessing the next card - bigger or smaller card) or you are talking about the game where you are the one who deals cards and there are three other players ... ???

POKER Texas hold`em

i`m talking about the texas hold `em , where there is a dealer button and there is also other stuff like small blind , big blind etc. I wanna develop that game using VB.NET, where atleast 4 players can play the game, please help me to find some good game programming books using VB.NET, my aim is like to develop a game like "pacific poker" games. Suggest me how should i proceed

Which version of VB.NET are you using? If it's 2005 then there is a BlackJack Starter Kit available. Here are a couple of other Game Programming-related links you may find useful:
