advanced tutorials?

Does anyone know a good resource for someone who wants to learn the more advanced things in vb.net? I would say I have covered all the basics, and I am not being taught anything new in school. For instance, I still haven't been taught how to create a web application, or even a program which can communicate with another program over the internet. I have also been wanting to create a web filter, but do not know where to start. The ideas are simple, but I don't know how to use the code. These are just some ideas, but there is a lot more that I would like to do. I would feel bad posting so many questions on the forum, so I am simply asking for any resources you know of.
