Using VB.NET to enable/disable file sharing

Hello,

In XP, you can enable sharing of files by right clicking, properties, and clicking on the sharing tab. How can you enable/disable file sharing by using VB.NET?

WMI class Win32_Share allow you to run the methods Create/Delete for shares, try this tool to generate some code easily http://www.vbdotnetforums.com/showthread.php?t=13972.

You also have the win32 functions NetShareAdd/NetShareDel, see this article for some tips http://www.codeproject.com/dotnet/pinvokeaddshare.asp.

Then you can run the shell command 'Net Share ...' through Process.Start and 'cmd.exe /c'.
