The Impact of asp_regiis -i utility

Hi again, I need to try many different things to get the applications to work on my server. There are currently many websites sitting in IIS, .NET was only added recently to the machine and I'm having problems calling some of the ASP Websites. What impact will the utility 'aspnet_regiis.exe -i' have on existing websites? I'm just playing safe because if it resets the entire of iis then I'm up crap-alley.

Can someone just let me know whether its safe to do this without any changes being made to currently installed websites?
