SQL 2000 server

help me!
I bought SQL 2000 server in order to use it with my vb project but when I try to install it it says:
"Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition server component is not supported on this operation system. Only client component will be available for installation". What can I do about it?
I'm running xp sp2

Install the personal (or developer) edition..... it should allow you to install it localy and set your PC up as a (local) SQL Server.

The Enterprise Edition can only be loaded to a server - i.e. Server 2000 or Server 2003 - hence the "...not supported on this operating system" error.

Do as TechGnome suggested, and install the personal edition (or developer - comes as part of the package with VS.net 2003) onto your local PC.
