solution file from vb.net2003 doesn't open in vb.net2002

I have solution files created in vb.net 2003
when i try to open in vb.net 2002 it says not a valid studio file.

original file environment
.net2003, framework version 1.1, win2k

changed environment
.net2002, framework 1.0,winXP Pro

I tried to install framework1.1 but didn't help.

please guide. i am new to vb and .net

that because vb.net 2003 is newer and has more stuff than vb.net 2002 you can open vb.net 2002 solutions in vb.net 2003 and vb.net 2005(beta right now) but you can't open vb.net 2005 solutions in 2003 or 2002 and also you can't open vb.net 2003 solutions in 2002

upgrade the 2002 to 2003 for it to work, i think there's a free upgrade file you can download from somewhere on www.microsoft.com but i'm not sure

There are ways to open a 2003 solution in 2002, but it requres editing the .sln and/or .vbproj files in notepad. Do some searches on Google and I'm sure you'll find the details on this.
