Hi,

One of the computers I has two versions of outlook installed onto the computer, outlook 2000 and outlook 2003, we discarded the outlook 2000 and only use outlook 2003.

I have written a program in vb.net to open the default email but the old outlook 2000 keeps being opened rather than the outlook 2003 wanted.

I have went into "internet properties" and went to "programs" to try and change the default "email" but the new outlook is not in the drop down list, only the old one.

Is there a way I can solve this? I am using Microsoft xp professional

Thanks

1st: how are you opening the default email application (show some code)?
B: try uninstalling outlook 2000 and reinstalling outlook 2003.

If you upgraded Outlook 2000 to Outlook 2003, then uninstalling Outlook 2000 would of done more damage than good.

I've never seen it where installing 2003 would install a seperate version to 2000, by default it upgrades any previous version of Outlook found.

I'd suggest uninstall every Outlook app that appears in Add/Remove programs and then reinstall Outlook 2003.

This problem has nothing to do with VB ;)
