.Net custom DLL

We have written a custom dll in VB .Net containing certain methods etc for our business. The question is can the .Net dll be referenced in an VB 6.0 project? We have tried and we keep getting an error that it does not recognize the .Net dll, we did not know if there is some trick to getting it to work.

You need to expose your .dll to COM. Here's a relavent site from MSDN
