Need to make personal Browser Default Browser

I have built a personal browser that I am very happy with. I want to extend it's capabilities even further but I don't know how to make it the default browser. Basically, I don't know what file extensions and what not are being called to open your browser to start with. Can anyone help?

cjards link is for changing the 'startmenu internet shortcut', to chagne default system browser I think you have to associate the app with the Http protocol (in registry HCR\http\shell\open\command) but I don't find much info about this on web, see http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/d.../networking/pluggable/overview/appendix_a.asp

Apologies for the duff link. I've found something else that might be better: Users here are discussing how to make each user of the PC have a different default browser. I've no doubt that this info is related to JohnH's advice about modifying the url protocol handlers. They may be a canned script at this URL, for you to use:
