Name '<name>' is not declared....

I'm having an issue with VS 2010 express. When I drag and drop a control onto a web form and try to run the app in debug mode, I get the following error(s):

"Name '<name>' is not declared. It may be inaccessible due to its protection level".

Strange thing the app runs anyway, and the control is generated regardless.

This is extremely annoying and I'm wondering how it can be fixed?
