Hi, I have a number of linklabels on my form that I have configured to open the default web browser to open a web page. This will eventually link to my own website once I am ready to deploy.....and setup the web site lol.

I want to also configure a few linklabels to open an email client and populate with the displayed email address on the linklabel.

This is all new to me so am confused how I would go about this, I mean how do I know what application the user may or may not be using as their email program, Outlook, Outlook Express or something?

Any tips please?

Using the Mailto protocol you can set up a command to start process which OS forwards to the users default email application:

Process.Start("mailto:any@thing.com")

System.Web.HttpUtility.UrlEncode can be used to encode more advanced text options for mailto string.
