Learning ASP.net

Can you recommend a good (and preferably free) tutorial for learning to use ASP.net - one that uses VB.net code examples, and one that installs and compiles successfully! I want to start developing web applications.

That I couldn't advise on I'm afraid - I'm still stuck in the dark ages with VS 2008 and .Net 3.5
