Question Incorrect hyperlink in send emails as HTML

In my vb.net code which allows for SMTP to send emails as HTML, the user sees something like this in their email inbox:



I can't quite understand why the Hello+emailaddress is a) joined together as one word and b) a hyperlink.

The word 'Hello' should be followed by a space and then the user's email address and should not be a hyperlink at all. The word 'Link' which follows, is a link and is correct. This is the relevant line of code I have:

The word 'Hello' should be followed by a space

but there isn't a space after "Hello".

"Hello" & strEmailValue

and should not be a hyperlink at all

The email client will interpret the email adress as one, and missing the space the word will be interpreted as part of the address.

It is "Hello"[space]ampersand. If I put my cursor after "Hello", there is a space before the ampersand. It is not "Hello"&

Ampersand is an operator to add two strings together in code, the space is in code, not in the string. There is no space in the string "Hello", which there must be.
