This is my first post and I hope everyone is well.
I've been asked to Develop new frontends for SQL Server 2005 DBs. For the DBs that presently have frontends, they are developed with Access 2003.
The company I'm working for wish not to use Access any longer.
This will be my first time developing FEs with a different product i.e. Visual Studio.
I have a couple of questions I hope I can get help with.
First of all. Is Visual studio a good choice for the FE? I presume it is.
Secondly, does anyone know of good books that pertain to developing FEs for SQL Server 2005? with preference to Visual studio?
Or perhaps any articles or advice that will help me along the way?
Any help would be great.
