Question Help, Minimum code to read from serial port

Hi,

I have never used VB.Net, but i just need help to get me going. I wish to open COM1 on my PC.

Then read 1 byte of data from it (which will be a letter A)

I then wish to display this in a text box. So that i can see its received it.

I just want to learn from this example. So please keep it simple
