Basically I am making an application shell which is very similar to the windows vista/7 shell. The problem is I do not want to use the windows vista/7 shell or the real operating system. I want to use a fake one.
I have tried getting a transparent image and putting it on the form but I can only see whats behind the image on the form. I want to see whats behind the form.
Also I don't want it 100% transparent i set my "transparent" image to have magenta in it but this did not work as when i set the forms transparency color to magenta my mouse went strait through the program as if it was not there and i clicked on my desktop.
Basically to sum It up I need a way to make a semi transparent picturebox "75%" to not show whats behind it on the form but to show whats behind the form itself while retaining its look and function (e.g. if i click it something happens (100%transparent makes it unusable)
