I am a beginner/intermediate VB programmer and this is my first post on the forms so please be kind. (more toward the beginner
) Hopefully I'm posting this in the correct forum.
The program looks for 5 images on the local C: drive and displays the first one it finds. Pretty easy for that part. Thou I have no Try..Catch items in there, It works out ok for this application.
It then loads the file into a picturebox(pbImage)
I have one button on the form which saves the current displayed image back to disk as the very first image. I check to see if the file exists and save it back out. If Image1.jpg does not exist it writes the image just fine. If I hit save an Image1.jpg does exist it errors out with the following message:
The process cannot access the file 'c:\Image1.jpg' because it is being used by another process.
I am assuming the file is still being used by my program to display the image or it's holding it in memory. I am thinking I don't have the correct dispose or nothing commands in use. Or perhaps I am checking the file.exists the wrong way.
Any help would be appreciated thanks!
p.s. The application this is being used in has more buttons to choose the image and load/save/replace the images but I pulled out the code that is giving me the most trouble!
