I've been considering making (or rather attempting to make) an isometric RPG-style game. Is this viable with VB.NET, or would I be better learning another programming language to accomplish this?

Yeah, 2D. Isometric view creates the illusion of 3D. I will take a look at what you suggested. Thanks.

Are you sure you can use XNA with VB.NET? I installed XNA and it added itself as a component of C#.

As far as I know, you can program in vb.net on the XNA 2.0 framework as long as you install Game Studio 2.0 as well.

Should work, I have the same version's and I got it to work.
