TX Text Control just released a new live sample that shows how to render document pages in a Silverlight 4.0 application:
TX Text Control Labs
This sample ASP.NET web application uses TX Text Control .NET Server's Page Rendering Engine to create thumbnails from MS Word compatible documents that are presented in a Silverlight 4.0 carousel application.
The diagram below shows the design and the interaction between TX Text Control and the Silverlight application. The Silverlight application requests the images from a WCF Web Service. This WCF Web Service uses TX Text Control .NET Server's Page Rendering Engine to create high resolution images that are rendered by Silverlight using a simple System.Windows.Controls.Image control.
About TX Text Control:
TX Text Control was originally released in 1991, since then more than 40,000 copies have been sold. Starting off as a single, small DLL, TX Text Control has made its way through 16-bit DLL and VBX versions to today's Enterprise edition with its .NET and ActiveX components. The recent addition to the family, TX Text Control .NET Server, offers all of TX Text Control advanced word processing functionality in an easy-to-use server-side .NET component. Customers benefit from these years of experience, large user base, and at the same time, appreciate developing with a mature, reliable product.
