Connections don't go away ...

Using VB.Net and SQL Server 2005 Express when making connection to read data they never go away until program is exited. I do close and/or displose all the connections after they are used. I don't understand why the connections don't go away in SQL Server.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Have you tried coding a close connection?

myConn.close()
