Answered Compile a Program

I'm a VB6 programmer trying to learn VB.Net (2005). I've completed my first small app but I can't find any way to compile it. Is it no longer possible to directly create an exe?

The only option I've found is to publish the app but this entails installing the app on individual machines. I need to place the executable on a server for anyone in my department to use.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

In .Net everytime you run your program (debug or release, it doesnt matter) the IDE compiles it for you, the compiled files can be found in the project's bin folder.
