I am doing a college profect on internet controlled car.
A brief description about it is that somebody will be controlling the car from a computer connected to the internet and the car (with a laptop using WIFI) attached on top will move.
Because of that, i need to have a webcam connected to the laptop so that i can see where the car is going. My part is the project is to write a client/server application which can receive webcam stream in real time. Ideally, the client/server application can also control the laptop's parallel port so that i can make the webcam turn right, left etc (a motor circuit wil be attached to the parallel port).
I need somebody to advice me on how to write the application.
By the way, I havent't use VB nor VB.Net before. So I need tutorials that starts from the very basic.. I have 6 months to write the application.
Can somebody please teach me how to fish or at least point me in that direction where I can learn how to fish..?
