What?s new in this release?

The latest version of Aspose.Pdf for .NET (11.4.0) has been released. It offers some new features as well as enhancements to previously supported functionalities. The capability to add hidden text is one of the major New Features introduced in this release. Furthermore, we also have introduced the capability to use PDF file objects after calling ProcessPragraphs() method which is not possible with earlier release versions. In order to add hidden text, set TextState.Invisible property to ?true? for the added text. TextFragmentAbsorber finds all text that match pattern (if specified). Please note that hidden text in the document will be invisible for end user while viewing the document with PDF reading software (e.g. Acrobat Reader). But it can be found using text search. There are several ways to make text invisible for end user in PDF and we have implemented one of those techniques. However the text added through our approach can be found using TextFragmentAbsorber and we can not guarantee that any hidden text added by third party applications can be found using same approach but in case you encounter any issue, please share the resource file and we can further investigate the scenario. The ProcessPragraphs() method was introduced to calculate objects placed inside PDF file and in case we need to have page count information during PDF file generation, this method can be used as it manipulates file objects and returns the desired information. In earlier release versions, once this method was called, the file objects could not be accessed any further. So if you need to add any new object to existing page instance, it was not possible and you had to have a new Page instance where objects can be placed. Nevertheless, starting this new release, you can utilize same Page objects even after calling the ProcessPragraphs() method. As well as the enhancements and features discussed above, there have been specific improvements regarding PDF to PDF/A, Multi-Column PDF, FootNote rendering, generation of large table objects inside PDF, XFA Form to Standard Acro Form conversion, PDF to Image, PDF to HTML, HTML to PDF conversion, Text replacement and rendering PDF files to XPS format conversion. The list of important new and improved features are given below

- Add and search hidden text in PDF document for post processing
- Using same Page object after ProcessPragraphs() call
- PDF to PDFA conversion throws System.NullReferenceException
ArgumentOutOfRangeException during PDF creation
- Issue checking signature information in PDF file
- Exception when trying to convert PDF to Image

Add Extended Attribute Definition to a Project & Improved MPP Loading using .NET

What is new in this release?

We are happy to announce the release of revamped version of Aspose.Tasks for .NET 17.1.0 . This month?s release brings improvement to the public API for working with custom fields of a project. The new implementation makes it simple for creating extended attributes. This release also fixes a number of bugs reported with earlier version of the API. This release has improved the public API for working with custom fields i.e. Tasks as well as Resources. The improved version of this API simplifies adding an extended attribute definition to project and create extended attribute from this definition. The new implementation provides individual implementations for working with plain and lookup custom fields. The static methods of ExtendedAttributeDefinition class allow the creation of each type of extended attribute, such as Create Task Definition, CreationResourceDefinition, CreateLookupTaskDefinition and CreateLookupResourceDefinition. The sample code on the blog announcement page shows a basic illustration of this improved implementation for creating a Task lookup extended attribute. This month?s release also fixes several bugs that improve the overall API functionality, such as working with Extended Attributes of the API, lookup values error while assigning to task, large file size after creating task baseline and Saving Extended Task Attributes to output MPP. This release includes plenty of new features as listed below

- Improve public API to simplify working with Custom Fields.
- Extended attribute lookup table is not showed in XML format.

Render Outlook VCard Contact Information to MHTML & Email Threading Support in .NET

What is new in this release?

We are pleased to announce the release of Aspose.Email for .NET 17.3.0 . This month?s release includes enhancements and bug fixes that enriches the API functionality and adds stability to the API behavior. As mentioned earlier, we have also stopped publishing the legacy version of the API and the revamped version with improved namespace will be published from now onwards. This month?s release provides the capability to render Microsoft Outlook VCard contact information to MHTML. This can be achieved with MhtFormatOptions.RenderVCardInfo enumerator while saving the message to MHTML. Previously, only headers information was rendered to output while rendering the respective values was not supported. Aspose.Email API already supported creating reply and forwarding messages using the MailMessage class. However, this didn?t support creating a thread between the original and replied email. This month?s release provides the capability to create threading among the original emails and the replies sent out using Aspose.Email API. Like always, we have also fixed several bugs in this month?s release that were reported by our valued customers with different API functionality. This further adds stability to the API functionality and makes the output predictable. The main bug fixes & improved features added in this release are listed below

Protect Excel VBA Project & Apply DBNum Custom Pattern Formatting inside .NET Apps

What is new in this release?

We are pleased to announce the new release of Aspose.Cells for .NET 17.4.0 . Protect VBA Project of Excel Workbook and Lock it for Viewing, Specify Sort Warning While Sorting Data and Apply DBNum Custom Pattern Formatting in .NET. The new release includes some valuable features and other enhancements with critical bug fixes. We have added certain features regarding VBA project?s protection for the users. There is also an enhancement for data sorting and custom pattern formatting. Aspose.Cells now supports the feature of protecting the VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) Project of Excel Workbook and locking it for viewing. Besides, users can also find if an existing VBA project is already protected and locked for viewing. The code snippet demonstrates how to protect an Excel Workbook VBA Project dynamically using Aspose.Cells and lock it for viewing. Aspose.Cells already supports Data Sorting, however earlier users could not sort a textual data as numerical data. For this purpose, Aspose.Cells implemented the DataSorter.SortAsNumber property. Whenever users sort textual data that looks like a number, MS-Excel shows this warning. DataSorter.SortAsNumber property implements this MS-Excel warning. It supports the DBNum custom pattern formatting. For example, if a cell value is 123 and users specify its custom formatting as [DBNum2][$-804]General then it will be displayed like 壹佰贰拾叁. Developers can specify custom formatting of a cell using Cell.GetStyle() method and Style.Custom attribute. Aspose.Cells for .NET 17.4.0 has enhanced its core for more stability as well as fixed many critical bugs. Moreover, there are numerous minor enhancements in order to improve the overall usage of the API.A few of the worth mentioning enhancements includes, such as Set Column Header ToolTip, sparklines disappear after re-saving and rendering to PDF, Formatting error inside shapes texts when Excel is converted to PDF, VbaProject.Sign causes an exception and Re-adding a picture to the same XLS throws a Null Reference error. Furthermore, in this release, we have fixed several other issues, such as issues around reading/writing MS Excel file formats, manipulating Pivot Tables, applying formatting to cells, manipulating Ole Objects and shapes, rendering and manipulating charts, rendering HTML to Excel and vice versa, rendering images from Excel worksheets, rendering images files from charts and exporting Excel workbooks to PDF format have been resolved. Filter Email Messages by Message Size using EWS & Forward Messages Without Loading

What is new in this release?

We are pleased to announce the release of Aspose.Email for .NET 17.5.0 . This month’s release includes a new feature to modify or delete an occurrence from a recurrence pattern. It also includes several enhancements related to different API functionality. Aspose.Email API allows working with recurrence patterns for Outlook Calendar items. This month’s release further enriches this feature of the API by allowing to modify or delete a specific occurrence from a recurrence pattern. This is achieved by adding an exception to the occurrences of a recurrence pattern. Want to filter messages from Exchange server based on message size? We have implemented this feature by incorporating the MessageSize search parameter in ExchangeQueryBuilder. Messages can be filtered from Exchange server based on message size as illustrated in the code sample provided on the blog announcement page. Aspose team has good news for people whose environments consist of low resources such as system memory. Such situation can give rise to problems sometimes including out of memory exceptions while loading large message files. This month’s version now provides the capability to load the file in file stream and send it using the API’s SMTP client without using MailMessage. This month’s release also provides the capability to get folder type information for the folders retrieved from Exchange server. The EWS API lets you get this information from ExchangeFolderInfo with the FolderType enumeration introduced in this month’s release. Users can also get message class information from message’s summary information i.e. ExchangeMessageInfo. The information is available in the MessageInfoType property of ExchangeMessageInfo and gives the message class for the selected item. This month’s release also fixes several bugs related to API functionality. Fixing these not only improves the overall API functionality, but also stabilizes the API’s behaviors in terms of expected results. The main bug fixes & improved features added in this release are listed below

- Option to modify/delete occurrences in a recurrence (.NET)
- Provision of MessageSize in ExchangeQueryBuilder
- Forwarding message without loading EML file using MailMessage
- Option to render selected or all information of an IPM.Contact to Mhtml
- Provide EWSClient.FolderType information in EWS client
- Provision of Message Class information in ExchangeMessageInfo
- Add/Update mail headers via mail merge
- EWS client can't load emails in folders containing large number of messages.
- RRULE problem creating multiple events on same day
- RRULE problem creating events late by two days
Restoring Pst to Outlook.Office 365 account causes error in calendar items
- EWSClient.GetContact (s) raises exception for this Exchange account
- Message count different in MBox read by Aspose.Email
- Mails not read from Mbox file - (.NET)
- ICS with RRULE not imported properly into PST
- Resaving MSG file loses the spaces and tabs in HTML body
- All Day Event Checkbox not clicked in Outlook PST created by Aspose.Email
- Sent mail changed to Draft after setting Read/Un-Read flag
- Setting Read/Un-Read flag does not take effect in the PST
- Exception while debugging ImapClient in VS 2017
- EWSClient.CreateFolder raises exception with AE 17.3, whereas worked fine with AE 17.1
- Out Of memory exception when processing Mbox file
- Exception raised while updating attachment name containing double single quote

Other most recent bug fixes are also included in this release.

What is new in this release?

We are pleased to announce the release of Aspose.Email for .NET 17.6.0 . It includes new features and enhancements related to various functional areas of the API. Specifically, the enhancements are related to the API’s IMAP, EWS client and rendering of messages to MHTML. The API also fixes several bugs that further improve the performance and functionality of the API. This month’s release introduces a new feature of adding custom flags to a message on the server using the API’s ImapClient. Custom flags can be added to a message using the AddMessageFlags method using the ImageMessageFlags. Not only users can add custom flags to messages on server using the API’s ImapClient, users can also filter messages by specifying custom flags. The ImapQueryBuilder’s HasFlags and HasNoFlags can be used for this purpose. Email messages with multiple or large size images embedded in them can take considerable time and system resources during conversion to MHTML format. This month’s release provides the capability to skip inline images from including in output MHTML using the MhtSaveOptions class’s SkipInlineImages property. Setting this flag avoids writing inline images from message body to output MHTML. The main bug fixes & improved features added in this release are listed below

- Set custom flag using Imap
- Option to render MSG to Mhtml without images for the sake of performance
- Provision of flag for hidden/cache folders retrieved from Exchange server

Export 3D Scene to GLTF 2.0 Format & Customize Non-PBR to PBR Materials using .NET

What is new in this release?

Aspose team is pleased to announce the release of Aspose.3D for .NET 17.05.0 . The new version 17.5 of the API adds support of importing GLTF 2.0 (ASCII and Binary) files in the Aspose.3D API as well as allows developers to apply Physically Based Rendering (PBR) material to 3D entities. Developers may then save the final 3D scene to any supported file format. All other internal improvements are also incorporated. Developers can install Aspose.3D Nuget package in their .NET applications because we publish each version as a NuGet package on the NuGet gallery. Aspose team recommends clients to upgrade old version of the Aspose.3D API with this latest one. GLTF 2.0 (GL Transmission Format) improves the way of storing, transferring and rendering 3D models. With the help of Aspose.3D for .NET API, developers can import existing GLTF 2.0 (ASCII and Binary) models, and then save in any other supported 3D format. Aspose.3D for .NET offers the capabilities to create an instance of any supported 3D entities, set position in a 3D scene, and then save in the supported file format. Developers would now be able to apply Physically Based Rendering material to that entity instance before saving. This help topic helps to know the way of applying Physically Based Rendering material to an instance of 3D entity. This release includes plenty of new features as listed below

- New PBR material to support physically based rendering
- Allow Aspose.3D API to import GLTF 2.0 ASCII files
