What?s new in this release?

The latest version of Aspose.Pdf for .NET (11.4.0) has been released. It offers some new features as well as enhancements to previously supported functionalities. The capability to add hidden text is one of the major New Features introduced in this release. Furthermore, we also have introduced the capability to use PDF file objects after calling ProcessPragraphs() method which is not possible with earlier release versions. In order to add hidden text, set TextState.Invisible property to ?true? for the added text. TextFragmentAbsorber finds all text that match pattern (if specified). Please note that hidden text in the document will be invisible for end user while viewing the document with PDF reading software (e.g. Acrobat Reader). But it can be found using text search. There are several ways to make text invisible for end user in PDF and we have implemented one of those techniques. However the text added through our approach can be found using TextFragmentAbsorber and we can not guarantee that any hidden text added by third party applications can be found using same approach but in case you encounter any issue, please share the resource file and we can further investigate the scenario. The ProcessPragraphs() method was introduced to calculate objects placed inside PDF file and in case we need to have page count information during PDF file generation, this method can be used as it manipulates file objects and returns the desired information. In earlier release versions, once this method was called, the file objects could not be accessed any further. So if you need to add any new object to existing page instance, it was not possible and you had to have a new Page instance where objects can be placed. Nevertheless, starting this new release, you can utilize same Page objects even after calling the ProcessPragraphs() method. As well as the enhancements and features discussed above, there have been specific improvements regarding PDF to PDF/A, Multi-Column PDF, FootNote rendering, generation of large table objects inside PDF, XFA Form to Standard Acro Form conversion, PDF to Image, PDF to HTML, HTML to PDF conversion, Text replacement and rendering PDF files to XPS format conversion. The list of important new and improved features are given below

Export 3D Files to Collada Format & Detect Format of any Supported 3D File using .NET

What is new in this release?

Aspose team is pleased to announce the release of Aspose.3D for .NET 2.1.0 . The new version allows developers to export 3D files to Collada format, detect the format of any supported 3D file, pick vertices on a polygon, and then form triangles. Developers can also program the GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) to set up the graphics hardware for rendering 3D geometry. Developers can install an Aspose.3D Nuget package in their .NET applications because Aspose team publishes each version as a NuGet package on the NuGet gallery. It?s recommended to upgrade old version of the Aspose.3D API to this latest one. Aspose.3D API has added support of converting all 3D files (Discreet 3DS, FBX, STL, Universal 3D and WavefrontOBJ) to Collada format. The Collada is an open XML file format for 3D assets, supported by various 3D software packages. Using the recent version or higher, developers may import any supported 3D scene, and then export to a Collada 3D format. The file format identification is the process of figuring out the format of a sequence of bytes. Aspose.3D API allows developers to detect the type of all supported 3D files before loading them for any manipulation purpose. Using Aspose.3D API, developers can program the GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) and set up the graphics hardware for rendering 3D geometry instead of the fixed function pipeline. There are several approaches to program GPUs. Aspose.3D API uses graphics APIs such as OpenGL 4.0, DirectX 11, DirectX 9 and Vulkan to program the GPU. A polygonal curve is a finite chain of line segments. Line segments called edges, their endpoints called vertices. A simple polygon is a closed polygonal curve without self-intersection. Using Aspose.3D for .NET API, developers can triangulate the polygons. In short, any polygon can be divided into triangles. Developers might pick vertices from a polygon area, and then form triangles by calling algorithm of triangulation. This version also addresses an enhancement to display a proper message on 3D models if the used texture file is missing. It also exposes the low-level APIs to customize the rendering procedure. These enhancements and bug fixes improve performance and accuracy of Aspose.3D API. This release includes plenty of new features as listed below

- Separate import options and export options for all 3D file formats.
- Export support for Collada.
- Allow user to access the low-level rendering API.
- Allow node to be excluded during exporting.
- Display texture not found on the model.
- Allow Vector2/Vector3/Vector4/Quaternion to be editable in the property grid.
- Polygon triangulate issue.
- Diffuse/Specular/Emissive won't work if no texture is used.

Overview: Aspose.3D for .NET

Aspose.3D for .NET is a feature-rich component and class library for .NET that empowers Mono and .NET application including ASP.NET, Windows Forms and Web Services to connect with prevalent 3D document formats automatically without the 3D modeling and rendering software being installed on the server. It supports FBX (ASCII, Binary) and STL (ASCII, Binary) file formats and developers can easily create, read, convert, modify and control the substance of these 3D document formats using Aspose.3D API.

Convert 3D Model to PDF, Generate Tangent & Binormal Data for All Meshes in .NET Apps

What is new in this release?

Aspose team is pleased to announce the release of Aspose.3D for .NET 16.9.0 . The new version extends this API with new key features. Developers can import any supported type of 3D model, and then export it to PDF. They can also import 3D scenes and contents from an existing 3D PDF as well as convert all polygons to triangles of a 3D model, and may also generate tangent and binormal data for all meshes in 3D models. The list of supported 3D formats is constantly growing as demands change and technologies evolve. Using Aspose.3D API, developers may create a 3D model from scratch or import from an existing 3D file, they can save it to the PDF. It was a demanded feature because PDF files are compatible across multiple platforms. Using Aspose.3D API, developers can now convert all polygons to triangles of a 3D scene. This way, they can ensure proper rendering of the non-planar faces. All meshes don?t contain tangent and binormal (bitangent) data in various 3D file types. Using Aspose.3D API, developers can generate and store tangent and binormal data for all meshes. The tangent and bitangent are orthogonal vectors with the Normal and instruct about the rate of change of the texture coordinates over the mesh surface. A PDF can store 3D scenes and contents to display 3D models interactively. Aspose.3D API allows to extract 3D scenes and contents from 3D PDFs. Developers may iterate through all 3D scenes and contents to save them in separate files. This release includes plenty of new features as listed below

- Generate tangent from mesh data.
- Normal mapping in rendering.
- Export 3D scene to PDF 1.6.
- Import 3D scenes from a PDF file.

Create, Customize Visio Masters from Scratch & Retrieve Nodes from Visio Drawing

What is new in this release?

We are pleased to announce the new release of Aspose.Diagram for .NET 16.10.0 . The new version of the API allows developers to create a master from scratch and include it in the Visio drawings. Developers can set an icon of the master to present data in the Visio drawings with graphics. Besides this, we have improved API to retrieve directions of all incoming and outgoing nodes as well as getting the relationship information between containers, lists, callouts, and member shapes. The recent version also includes a number of regular bug fixes and enhancements. Developers can install an Aspose.Diagram Nuget package in their .NET applications because we publish each version as a NuGet package on the NuGet gallery. Microsoft Office Visio provides a rich set of pre-made masters. We can drag a master on the Visio page, most of the resulting shapes will inherit their formulae and values from that master. In the past, our clients were placing shapes using stencil, drawing or template. Using the version 16.10.0 or higher, they can now create a Visio master from scratch and it can be repeatedly used. Aspose.Diagram API works with connected shapes in the Visio diagram. The developers use it to get structural information. We have enhanced this feature to unify the retrieval of incoming and outgoing nodes from each Visio drawing format. This version also addresses the issues of misplaced shapes, additional content, the font formatting of shape and improper change in the shape size. These enhancements and bug fixes improve performance and accuracy of Aspose.Diagram API. Here is the list of important enhancements and bugs fixes in the new version.
