I'm using the Data Source Configuaration wizard to access a DB. When I click New Connection and then go to change the data source my only options are "Microsoft Access Database File" an "Microsoft SQL Server Database File".

What am I missing that I don't have ODBC listed?

I'm sure it's something simple, but 10 years other languages have blinded me to the "ease" of the new ones.

I'm guessing that you're using VB Express. VS 2005 offers more choices but it appears that VB Express only offers those two Microsoft options. I guess that's one of the things you get when you pay: access to additional data sources. VB Express is designed for students and enthusiasts, so I guess Microsoft is pushing those people towards there own databases. You can still create your own data access objects but it appears that you won't get the same help from the IDE.
