Question What is the best option for Data Connectivity ... DataSet Designer or Hardcode

I noticed many times that Database connectivity using DataSet designer runs slow in opening Data Entry form. I just wanted to know what is the better options between hard coding for connectivity and DataSet designer.

Are you developing for a corporate environment (as opposed to commerical or internet use)?

What kind of database will you be using, and will it have a permenant home (as opposed to possibily being moved around from file server to file server)?

I am devloping a small desktop application for general bill printing.
