vs 2005 does not launch

Hi,

When i start visual studio, i only get a small window with 'unknown error' and an ok button. After clicking the button this window disappears and then nothing. I tried deinstalling vs and sql server and re-install vs but that dit not help. To make a long story short. I completely re-installed my computer and everything worked fine untill recently. I now have the same problem again. I have two possible clues: i recently updated my bios and processor driver. And when i do a windows save boot visual studio works!

I hope someone can help me with this. Thanks in advance.

if it works in safe mode but not in normal mode, it means something is running that is breaking VS. Start by disabling any firewall and virus software.. and carry on disabling stuff until you find out what it is
