I am currently working on a project and would like some advice please.
What i am trying to do is formulate the form and code that would enable the user to search the hard drive of the computer upon which the software is running, and looking for files of a specific format for example, jpeg images. once found, i would then like to physically upload a copy of the image into the software somewhere and display it. im building a membership system if that helps.
i am building an application that holds a database beneath it.
Can anyone explain how i could get this done and/ or point me into the right direction of any web or books references that may be able to help me.
