upload file to sharepoint

I am trying to upload files to sharepoint.
Keys
I am not on the sharepoint server
I don't have access to any sharepoint dlls
This is a desk top application not a web service

Can anyone point me in the directions I need to go.
I am frantic and have found nothing that doesn't use the sharepoint dll

If you have no actual SharePoint functionality in your app then you can't do anything specific to SharePoint. You can only use standard file system or web operations. If the SharePoint site in question provides a URL for uploading files then that's what you'll use; otherwise, you're out of luck.
