I have never had any problem with Manifest Signing Certificates until just recently. In the past the only thing i had to do was simply select a new certificate from the Store when my current certificate expired. Now my current certificate has expired but my store is empty. I have read some other posts saying to uncheck the "Sign the ClickOnce Manifests" option in my Project>Properties>Signing tab and the problem will be fixed. This does not work. Even if i uncheck this option, the option is rechecked as soon as i try to publish causing the publish to fail. I am not really familiar with what these cert's are and how they work since they have never been a problem in the past. I have learned that you can buy cert's or make you own. I like the second option much more but have very little idea where to begin.
Can someone please tell me if they are familiar with this and if i do in fact need to generate my own cert's?
