Resolved Solution Explorer shows VB Icon files

The cropped solution explorer image below shows two files with a VB icon (I think its an icon).

I don't remember ever seeing such files before.

What are they for.

That's the default icon for a VB code file. Try adding a new class to your project and you'll see that the Solution Explorer will display it with that icon. Add Inherits Control to the code and you'll see that the Solution Explorer will change the icon for that item. Remove that line and it will change back again.
