hi,

i have been asked to write a client-server application using tcp sockets that gets the weather info for a specified zipcode. can anyone help me on how to go about this?

I guess i should have rephrased my question. i wanted the steps to go about it, so that i can make an attempt myself. i ask this because i am completely new to network programming of any kind.

There are sample apps with source code to be downloaded

Thats odd, I just clicked the links in this thread and had no problem accessing them. Try holding down your Ctrl key when you click the link.
