Save and load arbitrary file to and from SQl server 2000

Hi,

I'm using Vb.NET and SQL Server2000. I want to know how to save an arbitrary file to the database and later on load this file back and open it with its associated program.

you should look into storing/retrieving BLOB objects.

you could also encode the binary file into base64 and write that to a memo field then later retrieve it and convert it back to binary.
