.rpt file and stored procedures

Can someone tell me how I can view a Crystal Report which is stored as an rpt file not as an embedded resource, and pass it a SQL Server stored procedure with parameters.

I can do the SP and have the rpt file, just need to know how to do the bit in the middle,

I am using VS2002 and VB.net, the rest of the app uses the SQLClient to connect to SQL Server
