Question Printing Word documents in vb

I want to print a standard form letter for mailing to all of the people in a group that I participate in. I have their addresses in a sql express database. I have been looking at different sites about doing something like this and still have not determined what would be the best way to get the data into the word document. What I have readabout is the functions; range and typetext. Should I use a template? Thanks.
