outlook 2000 programming

Hey,
I need to code something for outlook 2000. The task at hand is having a button that will generate a header in an email if clicked on.
I was looking into possible solutions. I am looking for any articles on this. COM objects seems to be whats being suggested. But I cant find any COM object examples that shows me out to make a button on OUTLOOK 2000 with vb .net.

Can anyone help?
