Oracle asp.net question

Hi, I have to make a project in asp.net using a oracle database. But I have to demostrate it on my laptop. But I can't run oracle on my laptop. Is there a solution for this?

Download Oracle 10g express edition from Oracle's website

The original poster did not specify why he couldn't run Oracle, right? Oracle express edition was designed for notebooks and desktops, right? Doesn't hurt to try, right?

I don't have the space on my harddrive. But I have sql server 2005 on my laptop. Can I use this?

If hard drive space is an issue, try SQL SERVER 2005 Express. Its different than Oracle. The two DB's should get the job done, just in different ways

If you are able to demonstrate with a network connection, load the Oracle 9i client on your laptop and have at it. If you are required to demonstrate in a disconnected environment, then the 10g express version is your only hope. You will need to free up enough disk space for the installation. Sorry.

how much free space have you got? how big is the hard disk?

it sounds harsh, but "i havent got enough disk space" shouldnt ever be an excuse for not being able to demonstrate something - format the laptop if necessary, or buy an external usb disk
