Numbering rows on a TextBox

Hi I have a TextBox and I want to find a way to number the rows/lines of text in the TextBox. I considered adding a new number to the start of every line but the problem is I need to copy the text out of the TextBox into the clipboard. Can anybody think of anyway I can do the numbering outside the TextBox?

This is usually done by drawing the line numbers as graphics, there is an example at Code Project for RichTextBox
